SureFire recently introduced a high-powered tactical light that runs on standard CR123 batteries or a single lithium-ion rechargeable battery.

The Fury-DFT features a 1,200 or 1,500 lumen beam that can function as a search light, according to SureFire's website.

"The 'DFT' stands for dual fuel tactical, and represents the natural evolution of our best-selling Fury Tactical flashlight," the website states.

The Fury DFT generates 1,200 lumens of blinding light with two included SF123A batteries and 1,500 lumens with an optional SF18650A rechargeable lithium-ion battery charge kit, according to the site.

The light will put out 1,200 lumens for 1.25 hours using CR123s and will emit 1,500 lumens for 1.5 hours using the SF18650A battery.

The Fury DFT's high-strength aerospace aluminum body and tailcap are knurled for a secure grip, and "Mil-Spec-hard anodized" for extreme resistance to abrasion and corrosion, according to the site.

The light costs $200. The SF18650A rechargeable lithium-ion battery charge kit costs $39 and includes one battery. A box of 12 SFCR123s costs about $25.
